Each spring, DAYBA produces the “Border Battle” All-Star Game Sponsored by Aspirus St. Luke’s, pitting elite players from Northeastern Minnesota vs. players from North Central Wisconsin. This is the premier all-star game in the Northland! Each year we pick a Mike Gerber MVP award winner for both the girl’s game and the boy’s game.

The 2026 Border Battle will again partner with “Smiles for Jake”. “Smiles for Jake” is a suicide prevention movement that spreads positivity through life-affirming actions, listening ears, and the message that everyone should have hope.
