Each spring, DAYBA produces the “Border Battle” All-Star Game Sponsored by Aspirus St. Luke’s, pitting elite players from Northeastern Minnesota vs. players from North Central Wisconsin. This is the premier all-star game in the Northland! Each year we pick a Mike Gerber MVP award winner for both the girl’s game and the boy’s game.

DAYBA recognizes the importance of mental health and suicide prevention. The 2025 Border Battle will again partner with “Smiles for Jake”. “Smiles for Jake” is a suicide prevention movement that spreads positivity through life-affirming actions, listening ears, and the message that everyone should have hope.
